(For a quick copy and paste if you’re featuring me in your podcast, show, summit, mastermind, etc.)

Westley Sorgente (@wesorgente) is a high-performance expert, coach, trainer, vlogger, podcast host, and adventurer. He’s passionate about creating the resources and tools needed for young executives to excel under pressure and develop the confidence required to step outside their comfort zones.

Westley attributes a large part of his coaching approach to his South African upbringing and unique career path.

After quitting his 9 – 5, Wez chose to pursue his passion and enter the professional self-development and training space. In 2007, he founded a team building and leadership training company.

Growing up in Cape Town, Wez also saw the value in combining the thrill and adventure of the outdoors with soft-skill training to liven up what typically is considered a dull niche.

He was certified as one of John C. Maxwell's founding members of John's international team of coaches, speakers, and trainers.

Wez quickly realized that he had a knack for helping people confront their limiting beliefs and face the fears that hold them back, and he started focusing more intentionally on that.

After launching his online coaching company, it wasn't long before Wez was drawn to the global trend of coaching & training online. He jumped at the chance to hone his skills as a certified trainer for Dale Carnegie Digital, training and coaching people from organizations like Dell, Microsoft, NASA, the US Army, Harris Teeter, Eversource, Apple, etc.

He made such an impact that he received the Top International Online Trainer award of 2019! This is an award gained from anonymous surveys submitted by the participants in his many classes.

Wez is not your conventional, average, run-of-the-mill coach & facilitator. He is an alchemist mixing adventure, fun, a little NLP, and even a dab of fire walking or board breaking here and there… he strives to make his sessions as impactful, purposeful, and transformative as possible. He speaks the truth with love and understanding for your benefit and to facilitate growth and internal transformation.

Now...

'I remember being left on the playground huddled in the fetal position on the ground. My school shirt, half on and half off. Everything was a blur because my eyes were filled with tears. After all, the itching hurt so much!

I was 11 years old, it was the 8th grade, and on this particular occasion, my classmates had opted to see how many itchy sycamore tree seed pods they could stuff down my shirt and crush... and then watch me writhe in pain and laugh.'

Yip! Believe it or not, I haven't always been the confident and outgoing person people meet in my training and seminars today.

Kids can be cruel, and growing up, I was the target of consistent pranks and bullying. I guess you could say I tried too hard to fit in and make friends, and as a result, it made me socially awkward and considered a bit of a reject… well, at least to my classmates, that is.

Not a day went by in my primary school and most of my high school career where I was not targeted, teased, bullied, and made to feel less than human. Even in my early days in the professional workplace, I was singled out and bullied a bit because of my lack of people skills (it was still early in my journey… and I had to learn the skill of confidence and raising the perceived value of myself.)

So yeah... You could say, "I've been there, done that & dealt with my fair share of professional bullying, as well as had the shirt full of sycamore seed pods to prove it!"

As a kid and even more so as an adult, I realize if you do not have the skills and confidence needed to take up space and be counted, work & life can be nothing less than painful, and whoever said, “words are just words,” does not know WTF they are talking about!

is traumatic & very painful!

Fortunately for me, I found a book - or instead, it found me - stressing the importance of having the right mentors in life as you finish school. The book changed my life, and I then embarked on a long road to find the right people, opportunities & tools to transcend these new ideas into practical strategies I could share with you.

I have no university degree to my name and was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I was born into a very conservative, middle to a lower-income Christian family which prioritized character & values over popularity and reputation.

I grew up very socially awkward and a bit of a goody-two-shoes. Perfect when you have ambitions to pastor a church or start a non-profit or welfare organization. Not so great if you want to relate or not threaten the status quo.

I got to where I am today through mentoring & coaching, hard work & learning in the trenches - dealing with high-school bullies, dealing with toxic managers, and interacting with abusive colleagues.

Today I am proud to be considered an elite performance coach, and I dedicate myself to helping people like yourself get out of the same value-less pit I was in for much of my adolescent life.

Although my clients may say, I am a persuasive, confident, and charismatic coach. In my eyes, I am just fulfilling my purpose to help people like you Stop Self-Sabotaging your Calm & Happiness!

Let me guide you on this journey, and I promise you this.

Put in the work.
Put in the time and be dedicated.

And you will transform yourself from being undervalued & under-appreciated to an impactful leader who influences.

This journey will be the most enjoyable, exciting & exhilarating journey you have ever embarked on. And like me and my story, your people and colleagues will not believe you have become the person you have become.

The transformation will be so incredible!

Don't you think you owe it to yourself to do so?

No bragging or showing off!) because my clients and participants constantly say it… that I have managed to become a very persuasive, confident & charismatic coach & facilitator who makes it his mission to help people like you find their CALM & Supersize their Confidence & Courage.

Interesting facts about me:

  • I was born in South Africa... & yes I have a weird accent to prove it.
  • I am two-thirds South African, 1-third Italian and seeing as I've been living in Mexico for the last 9 years or so... also a small dollop latino.
  • I am 2 centimeters shy of 2 meters tall... and the air up here is just fine.
  • I started my 1st company right out of high school and it failed dismally before it even got it off the ground.
  • I am fluent in sarcasm and suffer immensely from foot-in-mouth disease. LOL
  • When I am not adding value to people online or in-person... you will most likely find me jacuzzi'ing, climbing, hiking, doing qui-gong, jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane or chilling reading a book (preferably on the beach somewhere!) or watching a series with my 2 demon kitties 'Moosh' & 'Gizmo'.
